To Split or not to Split

The recent developments in Karnataka politics is indeed a very sad thing to happen. It started with anger, frusttration and then gave way to saddness and disillusionment.
Surely, the people we have elected cannot stoop to such a moral abyss, can they??.
Out great leaders of the yore would be turning upside down in their graves witnessing such events unfold.
Have we degraded morally as a society. Is our moral development inversely proportional to the GDP grwoth we have faced in the last 5-6 years. Is this a sympton of the more serious disease our society is facing. I really wonder??
It would be interesting to know where our Country would stand if a way to measure the morality index is found out.

Not just Karnataka politics, whatever is goin on in the national political space also leaves us allwondering whats happening? People are so openly talking about bribes and have i think accepted it as part and parcel of the entire system. Though it bribes have been there fr eons, it has never been so openly discussed in the public not atleast in the Parliament.

The recent CASH FOR VOTES saga just underlines and emboldens the statement that our morality has stooped to abysmal levels. Now, if one says that its just a reflection of the moral standards in the society, I would only be too happy 2 agree. The events unfolding over recent times only stand testimony to the same.

Its time someone takes charge and cleans up atleast the politics. Maybe that wud be a gud start. We definitly need an Obama-like figure who would entice the entire nation. Perhaps Rahul Gandhi would fit the bill. Just hope circumstances take him to glory. On his own he can't anyways do much!! he wont be let to!!

And yes as of now if there is a meter to measure the morality index, We Indians dare not test it!
